Scor na Óg: The Scór na nÓg Connacht final took place in the Town Hall in Claremorris on Saturday 12th December. St Dominics were represented by figure and set dancers, léiriú and ballad group. The talent of our young people was exceptional and we are very proud of them all. Success came for our figure dancers who performed beautifully. This is their fourth Connacht title in a row and are hoping to go one step further this year. Unfortunately our léiriú, ballad group and set dancers narrowly missed out after putting in a sterling performance. Sincere thanks to all the mentors who gave of their time to prepare the competitors. Congratulations to all the competitors who represented the club with great distinction. Best wishes to our figure dancing team also Katie Heneghan, St. Aidans for recitation and Aoife Mc Loughlin, Kilbride for solo singing. The Scór committee would like to thank the St. Dominics executive for their support. Roll on the All-Ireland scheduled for Killarney on Saturday 30th January.

Camogie: Congratulations to Susan Spillane who was named Connacht Junior camogie player of the year by the Connacht Council on Friday night, last. A well-deserved award for a fantastic player that has given tremendous service to St. Dominics camogie club over the years.
