St.Dominics GAA Club are holding an EGM on Thursday 31st March at 9pm in the meeting room at the Club House. Can all Clubs please attend.

Dinner Dance
The St Dominic’s Dinner Dance Committee would like to thank everyone who attended the Annual Club Dinner Dance in the Hodson Bay Hotel on Friday night March 11th. Presentations were made on the night to members of the History Committee: Donald Feeley, Tommie & Eileen Fallon, J.J. Weir, Ann Connaughton, Edward John Beattie, John Murray & Liam Byrne for publishing a book of our Club & Parish history, Canon Peader Lavin on his retirement, Michael Finneran and Mark Miley who achieved Connaught Senior Football honours, Caroline Connaughton for winning a Camogie Soaring Star Award, Naos Connaughton, Declan Dowling, Niall Byrne and Ciaran Shaw for winning Connaught U21 Hurling medals with Roscommon. A great night’s craic was had by all who attended and many thanks to Gordon and Padraig O’Connor for their much talked about comedy act on the night.

Minor Football
St. Dominics Minors got their first points of the season on Sunday morning in Castlerea. A super spirited comeback saw them sneak it at the death. Trailing by 7 points, Ronan Morris, David McDonnell and Ciaran Shaw all goaled to give them a 3 point win in this league game. St. Dominic’s Senior football team were defeated in their second league game on Saturday evening last. Severely depleted by the non availability of 5 county players, they were no match for this experienced Kilmore side.

Good Luck
The Club would like to wish James Miley, Robbie Byrne, Ciaran Shaw and Paddy Fallon who are playing in the All-Ireland Senior B Colleges Football Final next Saturday. We urge the club members to support the lads if possible.

Best wishes also to Naos Connaughton and Niall Byrne who are members of the County Under 21 Football Panel playing Galway in the Connaught Final in Salthill @ 3pm next Saturday. Any support would be greatly appreciated.

Congratulations

Ladies Football
Under 12 football training continues on Tues at 6:30pm. Can all players please try to make training as their competition is starting soon.
