St. Dominic’s Strictly: The club is proud to be hosting “St. Dominic’s Strictly” this Easter in the Hodson Bay Hotel on 15th and 16th of April. This important fundraising event aims to assist the club in catering for its growing membership base of over 600 members, through the development of facilities. A committee has been working hard over the past few weeks and are delighted that 28 individuals have agreed to take to the stage and don their dancing shoes. Under the excellent guidance of choreographer Trisha McDermott of McDermott School of Ballet, our dancing stars will volunteer their time, energy and effort, as they polish their routines. There will be a formal launch of ‘St. Dominic’s Strictly’ in Murray’s Bar Knockcroghery on Friday, 17th February. Please come and join us on the night, as we reveal our dancing couples not only to the public, but to each other as well. Scor: St. Dominics Leiriu team will compete in the All-Ireland Final on Saturday 11th February, in Belfast. Tickets are €20 per adult and €10 per child (U16), orders for tickets must be placed via the Co. Board. Please contact Anita on 0879933177 for availability.

Senior Football: There will be a meeting of Senior Football on Wednesday, 8th February at 9pm in the Meeting Room. This year’s O’Gara Cup kicks off on Sunday 19th February at 2pm versus Michael Glaveys in Ballinlough. Training takes place on Wednesday night at 8pm for all home-based players and Friday night at 8pm for all players.

Ladies Football: Our Adult league gets underway next Sunday, 12th February with a home game, throw in at 12 noon. Details of training will be sent out as usual during the week, best wishes to all for the season ahead. St. Dominic’s ladies football club wish Rachael Corcoran, Nicole Dolan and the Roscommon Ladies team all the best for the league ahead. Don’t forget the Level 1 referees course dates have been changed to the 4th and 18th of February and the club mentors course takes place next Monday the 6th in Ballymoe at 7.30pm. St. Dominic’s ladies football club are on helping out duty with the 50-50 draw for February, thank you for your continued support.

Minor Hurling: Our U-10 hurlers get their season underway next Sunday, 12th February at Knockcroghery school Astro pitch at 10am and will continue each Sunday at this time, we hope to see you all there. The U-8 boys will be starting back towards the end of April, details closer to the time. Our U-14 and U-18 hurlers are back training. The Championship for both age groups starts on the 25th of February, as usual texts regarding training will be sent out. Good luck to all for the season ahead.
Coaching and Games: In conjunction with the County Coaching and Games Committee we are looking for a club member to deliver some Gaelic football coaching in the primary schools of the parish.
