Camogie: Training continues this week for the U8’s and U10’S on Thursday evening at 7pm on the back pitch. The next U8 blitz is on Friday, September 11th in Athleague. The next U10 blitz will take place in Athleague on Saturday, September 26th. U12 Congratulations to our U12 Team and their management who defeated Four Roads last week in a playoff for a place in the County Final. The Knockcroghery girls displayed great skill and determination throughout the game. When the final whistle blew, they had beaten Four Roads by 1 goal. They now play Padraig Pearses in the County Final on Tuesday 8th at 7pm in Tremane. It is a fantastic achievement to have reached the County Final and your support would be greatly appreciated for this match. Best of luck to all involved! The Hodson Bay sponsored Camogie team play Athleague in the first round of the Senior Championship on Sunday, 20th at 6pm. All-Ireland fever has hit our club this week in anticipation of the All-Ireland Premier Junior Final next Sunday when Roscommon take on Laois in Croke Park. Our club is well represented with members of the panel including Caroline Connaughton, Susan Spillane, Joanne Beattie, Aisling Byrne, Sile Carney, Caroline Dowling and Caoilfhionn Cox. We are so proud of you all girls and look forward to the game next weekend. The club are organising a bus to Croke Park to support the team. Ladies Football: Well done to all the beginner, U8 and U10 girls in last Wednesday’s game against Padraig Pearses, another very strong performance by all. Training has now finished up for these age groups for the year. To mark the occasion, we have organised an end of season presentation evening in Roscommon Leisure Zone (Ros Bowl) for Saturday next the 12th of September at 5pm. All the girls in the beginner, U-8 and U-10 age groups are asked to come along to what is sure to be an enjoyable evening. The Ladies Football Club hopes that you can all make it. Training continues for our hardworking u12 ladies Tuesday from 6.30pm to 7.30pm and Thursday from 6.00pm to 7.00pm. Don’t forget the gum shields, ladies. The U14 ladies take on Padraig Pearses in the U-14 Championship Quarter Final at home on Sunday 6th, good luck to all involved.
