Senior Football: Junior match v Roscommon Gaels was postponed.

Ladies Football:  Congratulations to Alastair Beegan, who won €350 in the Ladies County Board draw. This draw is a county fundraiser where ticket holders are entered into a draw held every two weeks for one year, St.Dominics will receive 150 euro sellers prize. Training for minor and junior ladies was held on Friday 20th. Next match Tuesday 17th March away to St.Ciarans. The first round of our u16 club championships takes place on Sunday 1st of March at home to Clann na Gael at 4pm.

Minor Football: Next game scheduled for Sunday 1st March away to Padraig Pearses at 10:30am.

Minor Hurling: St. Dominics minor hurlers got off to a good start in Round 1 of the championship, overcoming Padraig Pearses with a two point victory on a scoreline of St. Dominics 2-13, Pearses 3-8. Pearses got three early goals to put them in the driving seat in the first half, but Declan Kilcline’s team in the second half showed great spirit and determination to fight back, shooting some excellent long range points which lead to the two point win. The next game will be 22nd March v Athleague/Tremane. Team on the day: C.Miley, C.Grimes, D.Byrne, M.Coyle, P.Halpin, N.Watson, E.Connaughton, M.Feeley, J.Murray, M.Treacy, R.Kilcline, M.J.Egan, D. O’Neill and S. Kenny.

Registration Night: Club registration night for membership takes place at the meeting room at the pitch on this Tuesday, February 17th from 7.30pm – 8.30pm. Membership rates for 2015 are available on the website.

SCOR: Well done to our Scór competitors who performed to such a high standard in Saturdays All Ireland Final.  Connaught and Roscommon were represented in the figure dancing by: Rachel Connaughton, Ciara Sweeney, Ciara Roddy, Liosa Kilcline, Cerys Bryar, Meabh McCormack, Tara Kenny, Roisín Roddy. Recitation – Patrick Mullooly. Léiriú Stairiúl – Cormac Miley, Ethan Connaughton, Michael Feeley, Cian Dervin, Sean Kenny, Roisín Roddy, Keith Doyle and Conor Walsh. We also acknowledge the work of their mentors, parents and our Scór committee.

Senior Football: Dominics opened the 2015 Junior campaign against Clan na Gael on Sunday last in Knockcroghery but lost out on a scoreline of 1-8 to 0-8. Dominics had the breeze in the first half but failed to capitalise and had only 3 points to show with the scores coming from Jason Martin, Keith Mullarney and Anthony Kelly. A Clan penalty separated the side at the break 1-3 to 0-3. Dominics played better in the second half but failed to take the scoring chances but kept in touch  with Tomas Gillerans free taking notching 3 points and further points from Anthony Kelly and William Doyle, the latter’s effort hitting the crossbar and going over. Final score 1-8 to 0-8. Senior Hurling: The draw for the 2015 Kepak Senior Hurling Championship took place during the week. Champions Four Roads were drawn in Group A with Padraig Pearses, Roscommon Gaels and Tremane while in Group B the 2014 Finalists Athleague were pitted against Oran and St. Dominics.

Ladies Football:  Training was held Friday 12th of February with good numbers in attendance. We played our first game of the league on Sunday 15th against St.Faithleachs. The end result did not reflect the exceptional effort put in by the St.Dominics ladies. Final score St.Dominics 4-5 to St.Faithleachs 7 -8.

Minor Football and Hurling: There will be a joint minor hurling and minor football presentation night on Friday 20th February in Culleen hall 6pm. All welcome.

SCOR: All roads lead to the Citywest in Dublin this Saturday the 14th February for the Scór na nÓg All-Ireland Final which takes place at 3pm. Our Connaught champions are working very hard in preparation for the big day. Senior Football: The monthly meeting of the Senior Football Club takes place on this Tuesday night 10th February at 9pm in the Meeting room. Division 4 League Final: Its back to action for 2015 when our Junior Team play Clan na Gael in Knockcroghery on Sunday next, 15th February in the Junior League at 2pm. Come along and support the lads and the new Management Team.

Minor Football: St. Dominics had a good win in the first round of the Division 1 League on Sunday last versus Strokestown in Knockcroghery. Leading by two points at half time 1-3 to 0-4, an excellent team display in the second half saw Dominics push on and add 1-9, with Strokestowns scoring a late goal to finish St. Dominics 2-12 Strokestown 1-4.

Minor Football: Meeting this Thursday 5th February at 9pm at pitch. Please can every age group from Beginners to Minor have at least one representative in attendance. Training schedules: Minor Football: Thursday evening and also on Sunday’s. The first league match takes place this Sunday morning 8th February. U16 Football: Wednesday and Friday evening. First League game is fixed for 15th February 15th. U14 Football: Sunday, a challenge has been arranged for Monday 9th, to be confirmed by text. U12 Football: Training will change to a new time for the next few weeks, taking place in St Johns Community Centre on Sundays from 6.15pm to 7.45pm” to “to be decided” !!!
