Congratulations to our U14 team and their managers Deirdre and Niamh Walsh and Clare and Michale Craven, who enjoyed a fantastic weekend in Cookstown at the 2015 Féile Competition. The girls played a number of matches and utilised the great skill they have acquired over the last few months against each team they met. On Friday, the girls beat Castledawson of Derry but were beaten by St. Brigid’s of Laois. On Saturday, they played their hosts Ballinderry and Ballycran, Co. Down beating both teams. This resulted in them qualifying for the Cup Semi-Final on Sunday when they played Cillard of Co. Kerry. Unfortunately, the girls were beaten by Cillard and they bowed out of the competition at this stage. The girls played some excellent camogie exhibiting great skill, team-work and determination. We are all very proud of your great achievement and you were all a credit to your club, county and families. Thank you to the parents who travelled to Cookstown for the weekend.
