Senior Football: The monthly meeting of the Senior Football Club takes place on this Tuesday night 4th August at 9pm in the Meeting Room. Intermediate Championship: St. Dominics play St. Michaels in Elphin on Sunday next 9th August at 6pm. This promises to be a very close affair so come along and support the lads. Division 4 League: St. Dominic recorded another win in the League when they defeated St. Josephs on Wednesday last in Kilteevan on a scoreline of 2-13 to 0-8. Dominics were always in control of this game with some fine scoring from our forwards and midfield with solid defending from our defence. Camogie: The County Camogie Summer Camp is on the 11th and 12th of August in Hyde Park. It runs from 10.30am – 1.30pm on both days and costs €15 per girl. Each participant receives a free camogie t-shirt upon completion. It promises to be a very enjoyable camp. Anyone interested should contact Timmy or John. U8 and U10: Training continues this week for the U8’s and U10’S on Thursday evening at 7pm on the back pitch. The next U8 blitz is on Saturday, August 8th in Tulsk. We are hosting the next U10 blitz on Friday, 28th August in Knockcroghery. Spare hurls and helmets are available from the club for those who wish to try out camogie for a few sessions before buying their own. U12: Training continues for U12’s on Monday evenings at 6.30pm. They play their next game on Saturday at 12pm in our home pitch against Roscommon Gaels. Best of luck! U16 & Minor: Best of luck to our U16 team who play Four Roads in the first round of the Championship on Wednesday. Time to be confirmed. Hard luck to our minor team who were defeated by Four Roads in the first round of their championship last week. The sides were well matched and were level at half time. St. Dominic’s were unlucky with a number of scoring opportunities despite great team work and determination. Final score: Four Roads 3-5 St. Dominics 2-3. They face Oran in their next match. Junior & Senior Camogie: The Hodson Bay sponsored Camogie Team play Four Roads in the Junior County Final next Sunday at 6pm in Knockcroghery. This promises to be a great finale in what has been an incredibly competitive championship. Your support would be greatly appreciated. Ladies Football: Well done to all our U8 and U10 ladies who put in another very strong performance against Padraig Pearses on Saturday morning last, under harsh weather conditions. Our next games in the U8/U10 series are on Wednesday 19th August away to Roscommon Gales. Training continues next Saturday 10am to 11.00am. This year twelve clubs have decided to take part in U12 additional games series, the U12 ladies start their series of games during the coming week. They play at home to St. Brigid’s, details to be sent out by text. These games are non-competitive Go Game format, so everyone is guaranteed plenty of game time. Training continues for our Roscommon Leisure Zone sponsored Minor and Junior Ladies football panels on Friday from 7pm to 8pm at the pitch. The Minor Championship season gets underway this month, away to Padraig Pearses on Tuesday, 4th August, throw in at 7pm. Please come along and show your support for the girls who have put in a lot of work to get ready for their Championship.

Minor Football: Our Minors are down to play Clan na Gael at home in the Championship on Thursday 6th August at 7:30pm and Tulsk, away on Saturday 8th, both to be confirmed. U16s had the narrowest of defeats on Sunday last in Round 5 of the Championship, final score Kilmore/Shannon Gaels 2-7 St. Dominics 1-9. U14B Division 4 team play Roscommon Gaels, at home, on Thursday 6th August at 7pm.
