The schools finals are always a great event but it makes it very special this year having Ballymurray play in the top hurling final for 2011.

The following week the same team of players will play in the top final of the 3/4 Teacher football competition.

It is a fantastic achievement for a school to reach a county final but to reach the top final in both hurling and football in the same year is truly remarkable. Great credit is due to all the players, their parents, their coaches and their teachers. Best of luck lads. We are all very proud of you in St Dominic’s GAA Club.

Congratulations to Conor Grimes from Knockroghery N.S who won 1st prize in the primary schools hurling skills competition. Conor scored an amazing 95 points out of 100. The competition involved each player undertaking 10 different hurling skills.
