Senior Hurling

Junior Championship
St Dominics played Oran last Tuesday evening in Knockcroghery pitch in the Junior League. The score was St. Dominics 3-8 Oran 4-6.

Alan Gately Tournament
The Alan Gately Tournament will take place on the 6th June in Knockcroghery pitch. They will play for the Alan Gately Hurling Memorial Cup. Anyone interested in taking part can contact Vincent Pierse, Kevin Rogers or Martin Beirne.

Camogie
Senior and U-16 camogie training is starting this Monday 30th May at 7.30. All players must be registered with the club.

Under 12

well done to the U-12’s who hosted a camogie blitz last Saturday morning in the pitch. Four Roads, Pearses and Athleague were the teams who travelled on the day. It was a very enjoyable morning of camogie and thanks to everyone who helped in any way on the day. St Dominics played excellent camogie in all their games. Training continues on Monday evenings at 6.30pm.

A camogie meeting will take place on Tuesday night at 9pm in the pitch. Eveyone involved is asked to attend.

Senior Football
St Dominics played St Faithleachs in the Senior League on Sunday 29th May in Knockcroghery pitch. Despite been short some key players they put up a good performance. They were only 2 points down at half time against a strong breeze thanks to a goal from Niall Byrne. St Dominics missed alot of chances in the second half and a goal and a point in the last 2 minutes of the game from St Faithleachs sealed the win. They lost by 5 points. A great performance was given by Liam Murray and also Niall Byrne who will be badly missed for the summer. The club would like to wish him all the best in Boston.

Minor Football

Minor

Minor football training will resume on Wednesday 15th June at 7pm.

Under 14

St Dominics played Strokestown away on Thursday 26th . After a slow start scores came from Conor Feeney, John Murray, Derek Doyle, Aaron Hegarty, Sean Commane, Ronan Kilcline and Colm Murray. Midfield was dominated by Eoin McCormack and Colm Murray. The entire defence were solid only conceding 6 points in the second half. Final score 6-7 to 3-8. The team now have an important 5th round match against Boyle on Tuesday night at home at 7:30pm.

U-12s, U-10s, U-8s

Football training continues on Sundays from 12:30 to 1:30pm. All welcome.

The U-8s took part in a blitz with Padraig Pearses on Sunday morning 29th May. Management would like to thank everyone that travelled.

There will be a meeting of the Minor Committee on Wednesday 1st June at 9:30pm in the meeting room.

Table Quiz

A table quiz for St Dominics U-14 Feile na nGael team will take place in the Widow Pats on Friday 10th June – start studying!!!!!

Golf Society

St Dominics Golf Society played in Roscommon G.C. on Saturday 28th May. The winner was Alan Craven with 41pts. In 2nd place was Padraic Dervin with 40pts and 3rd place was Seamus Byrne with 39pts. Visitors was won by Ger Deegan playing off a handicap of 1 with a level par gross. Great scoring in windy conditions. On behalf of St Dominics GAA Club the Golf Society would like to thank everyone who supported the Golf Classic. A special word of thanks to Molloys Pharmacy and Tony Coyne for their sponsorship.
