Minor Hurling

Under 14

Congratulations to our U14 hurling team who bridged a 22 year gap to win the Féile U14 final on Sunday week last in Athleague. They overcame a very strong and determined Four Roads team on a very windy day in Athleague. Due to the weather conditions it was always going to be a closely contested match. Dominic’s played with the wind in the 1st half and led at half time by 2-1 to 0-2 thanks to 2 goals from John Murray and a point from Ronan Kilcline. It was backs to the wall in the 2nd half and after a great performance from the team ran out winners by 2 points on a final score line of 2-3 to 1-4. Best of luck to both teams in Feile in Galway in June.

Intermediate Football
St Domincs played Boyle in the first round of the Intermediate Football Championship in Elphin on Sunday. They started very well and went 3pts up after 20 minutes. Boyle came back and made it 4pts each just at half time. An early goal in the second half by Boyle left St Dominics with alot to do. Even though Dominics had alot of possession in the second half they couldn’t bridge the gap and went down by 2 points at the final whistle. Best on the day were Ultan Kelly and Declan Dowling. Next Sunday 22nd May they have a very important game against St Michaels in Cootehall.
