Ladies Football

Under 16s

Our U-16s are in a Div 3 Semi-Final against Four Roads on Tuesday evening at 7pm in Four Roads. We wish them every success.

Under 12s
The U-12s travelled to Loughglynn last Sunday to take on Eire Og in their first Championship game. There was a very good turnout. The first half was a very even contest, with St.Dominics really only getting into their stride in the second half. Although St.Dominics looked like winning, Eire Og’s relentless attacks kept St. Dominics backs busy. They were up to the task and fed the ball to the midfield to remove any danger. Training continues on Tues at 6:30pm. Our next game is at home against St.Croans.

Junior
Our Junior team are playing St.Croans on Good Friday. We would ask that all girls attend as the Championship is starting soon.

Best Wishes
We would like to send out best wishes to all the girls that are competing in the World Dancing Championship over Easter.

Senior Hurling
St Dominics Senior hurlers are playing Tremane next Friday evening at 6.30pm in Athleague. All players are asked to be in Athleague at 5.30.

Golf Society
Our annual Golf Classic in aid of St Dominics GAA Club is taking place on Easter Monday 25th April in Roscommon G.C. Anyone interested in putting in a team or playing on a team please contact Eddie. You don’t have to be a keen golfer to take part in the classic. Non golfers are also welcome. We would appreciate as much support from the club members as possible.

CD Launch

Best of luck to our local young band Tactics who launch their new CD in Culleen Hall on Good Friday night at 8pm to 10pm. The band consists of 4 talented youngsters from our parish – Shane Finneran, Liam Kilcline, Eoin Kelly and Christy McGloin. Entry fee is 5 euro.

Roscommon/Mayo Hospice Annual Fundraising
The Annual Fundraising event for Roscommon/Mayo Hospice will take place on Easter Sunday starting at 12.30 with a cycle from Lanesboro to Knockcroghery and followed by a fun filled evening of entertainment. This will include a Thai massage for PJ and his cyclists, BBQ and music. The music will kick off with the pride of our parish the Tactics. They will be followed by the Country Sundowners – so be sure to turn up and dance the night away in the Widow Pats. A raffle will also be held on the night. Your support would be greatly appreciated.
