Camogie: U16: Best of luck to our U16 team and management who play Four Roads in the County Final on Wednesday, 21st October in Lisnamult at 7pm. Reaching the County Final is a fantastic achievement and your support would be greatly appreciated! Senior Camogie: Congratulations to our Hodson Bay sponsored Senior Team and management who were crowned Connaught champions last Saturday when they beat Shamrock’s of Loughrea in the Junior B Championship. Pitch conditions were perfect in Knockcroghery on the day and an excellent game of camogie was produced. The Knockcroghery girls displayed great skill and determination throughout the game and were worthy winners when the final whistle blew. Final score: St. Dominic’s 1-12 Shamrock’s 0-7. Ladies Football: There is a Ladies Football club committee/trainers meeting next Thursday 22nd of October at 9pm in the meeting room. Congratulations to the Junior Camogie team and management in their emphatic win over Shamrocks of Galway in the Connacht final.

Minor Football: Our U13 Footballers brought the curtain down on the football season with a great game in the Féile qualifier away to Strokestown. Unfortunately they came out on the wrong side of a tight game, losing 2:6 to 1:5 with the home side getting their second goal in injury time as Dominics pushed for the equaliser. The lads put in a huge effort over the last five weeks and if their rate of improvement continues every one of the squad can look forward to good days ahead. To all the mentors, parents and particularly the players, well done on a year that didn’t deliver as much silverware as we may have wished for but which was another step forward. Keep up the good work and thank you for all the hard work and co-operation. The AGM will be held in early November and we would hope to see as many parents in particular in attendance. Your feedback and involvement is critical to the future of the club, and your children are the future of the club. Once again to the mentors, for the boys, thank you for your dedication.
