Congratulations to Ballymurray N.S on a great win in the 3/4 teacher primary schools county final. It was a super game of football from these talented young players. Congratulations to all involved with team but especially to Mr Gately their teacher.Best wishes to our Under 14 Hurling panel and mentors this weekend as they head to the All Ireland Feile na nGael Competitions.Croke Park in August: we will all have an added interest in the All Ireland Hurling Semi-Final this year. John Murray from Moneymore will grace our national stadium alongside 19 other young hurlers from primary schools around the country. John has been chosen to play in the exhibition match that takes place at half time in the main game on the 7th August. Well done John. We know you will be a great ambassador for Ballymurray N.S. and St Dominic’s hurling
Junior Hurling:
Last Tuesday 14th June St Dominics played Athleague in the Junior Quarter Final. St Dominics won by 4-13 to 1-13.

St Domincs played Pearses last Sunday 19th June in the semi final of the Junior Championship. St Dominics lost by 0-8 to 2-10. Training continues Thursday night at 8pm.

Senior Football:

St Dominics played Eire Og in the Intermediate Football Championship last Saturday evening in Knockcroghery. After a poor 1st half St Dominics came out more eager to win and produced a brillant come back in the 2nd half holding Eire Og scoreless to win the match on a scoreline of 13pts to 1-6. Liam Murray was outstanding throughout the whole game and every player played their part in the 2nd half. St Dominics are now in the Quarter Final. We are asking for a full attendance at training from now on from all our players and we welcome back all our Leaving Cert students who we hope will play a major role from here on.

Camogie:
Our U-12’s took part in a blitz in Athleague last Saturday. Well done to all the girls that played. We are asking the girls to make an effort to turn up to training as the U-12 championship is starting soon.

Congratulations:
Congratulations to Padraig (Peanut) O’Connor from Corrigeen and Emer Carolan from Sligo on their recent wedding in Sligo. Wishing them and Hannah a long and happy life together.

The Club sends congratulations to Frank and Sinead Golden on the birth of their son Harry. Frank is joint secretary of St Dominics Football Club.

There was huge celebrations last Tuesday 14th June when Ballymurray N.S. won the County Football schools final in Kilbride. They beat Frenchpark in a great game of football. It came after a week of the school winning the Schools Hurling Final. Well done to all the team and especially to their teacher Tom Gately.

The Club would like to commend Michael Finneran on his fine performance of football with Roscommon in the Connacht Senior Championship against Leitrim. Well done Michael.
