Ladies Football: St. Dominics were hosts to two adult county finals on Saturday 3rd October last. Many thanks to everyone who helped to have the grounds looking so well and to everyone who helped out on the day. It was great to have the president of Ladies Football Marie Hickey in attendance. She presented the Roscommon ladies U16 Football panel with their All Ireland runner-up medals – we had three girls on this panel – Eimear McNally, Aoife Gavin, and Ciara Corcoran. Well done to the U8 and U10 girls who played superbly in the exhibition games. A special thanks to Aoife Gavin and Ciara Corcoran who refereed these games. The U14 ladies took on Clann na nGael in the Division 1A Championship final in Kilbride, the game did not go their way on the day, despite the girl’s determination and spirit shown.
