Camogie: The U-12 girls had a great victory in Fohenagh on Saturday 14thOctober away to Ahascragh/Caltra in the Galway North Board League A Shield final on a scoreline if 3-3 (12) to 4-2 (14). This is the Club’s first title in our first year in the league so well done to the players and management on creating a little bit of history. Then later in Athleague, our Hodson Bay Hotel sponsored Senior team beat Oran by 0-6 to 0-4 in a hard fought Senior B final. Well done to the players and management. The team will now face Shamrocks of Galway in the Connaught Junior final scheduled for Sunday 22nd October at 2:45pm in Woodmount, to be confirmed. A special mention also to the U-10s who played at half time in the senior final. Thanks to all parents, players and mentors for your continued support during the year.

Ladies Football: Congratulations to St. Dominics Minor ladies who met Padraig Pearses in the Championship semi-final on Sunday 15th October. They showed great heart and determination to win on a scoreline of 5-15 (30) to 2-04 (10) . We wish the Padraig Pearses goalkeeper a speedy recovery from the injury she picked up. The Ladies now play Clann na Gael in the Division 1 Championship Final, date and venue to be confirmed.

Minor Hurling: Indoor Hurling continues on Saturday 21st October, from 6pm at St. John’s Community Center. Parents are encouraged to stay and enjoy the games and to help get the players ready.

Coaching and Games: The county board have scheduled coaching courses in both Hurling and Football over the coming weeks .
